Bristol passengers sold short

Bristol-based holidaymakers had a shock recently when it was announced that Flybe is withdrawing all its flights from the local airport, with the exception of one route.

The airline took over BA Connect, but has decided not to continue with any of BA Connect’s flights from Bristol because they didn’t make any money.

So if you live in Bristol, you can no longer fly with the carrier to Paris, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Zurich, Milan and Munich.

However, flights to Paris, Edinburgh and Glasgow are offered by easyjet and Flybe is continuing to operate to Jersey.

Bristol airport is busy courting other airlines to replace the cancelled service as soon as possible, but hasn’t had any luck yet.

Do you live in or near Bristol? If so, how have you been affected?
