THE NETHERLANDS The Kingdom of the Netherlands, better known as Holland, is the magical land of dykes and dams, windmills and motorbikes. Holland has a high density of population that numbers 16.5 million. The Netherlands has a constitutional monarchy. Its administrative capital is located at the Hague, although the capital city is Amsterdam. Dutch and Frisian are the official languages spoken here. The currency is Euro.

The Dutch economy has a mix of agriculture, industry, trade, services and tourism. The major industries include electricals and electronics, chemicals and petroleum, metallurgy and engineering apart from fishing and farming. The main farm products of the Netherlands include grains, fruits, beets, potatoes, vegetables and livestock.
