More About P&O Ferries
Routes P&O Ferries sail to France 25 times a day on the Dover/Calais route. Overnight services sail from Hull to Zeebrugge and Rotterdam and from Portsmouth to Bilbao. All of their ferry crossings take passengers to the gateways of Europe with easy motorway access for the onward journey. P&O ferry travel caters for cars, caravans and motorbikes on a direct ferry, without payments for excess baggage. Bilbao - Portsmouth (29hours): 3 crossings weekly. Hull - Rotterdam (10hours): 7 crossings weekly. Hull - Zeebrugge (12hours 30m): 7 crossings weekly. Calais - Dover (1hour 30m): 29 crossings daily. Facilities All P&O ferry cabins offer excellent value for money and are equipped with ensuite shower rooms and WCs. Towels and bed linen are provided and there’s plenty of space for hanging clothes. Standard cabins are easily reached from the main passenger decks; these 2, 3 and 4 berth en suite cabins have beds or bunks and a choice of either inside or sea views. Premier cabins provide easy access to the main passenger decks, and for a small extra charge on standard cabin prices, you’re guaranteed a good night’s sleep. Club cabins offer the most luxurious option, with the ultimate in spacious comfort. Located in a quiet section of the ship with access to the main passenger decks, passengers in Club cabins enjoy a sea view, colour TV, telephone, fresh fruit, tea/coffee making facilities, bathrobes and complimentary breakfast (not available on mini cruises). A free mini bar is available on North Sea sailings and in Club Suite Lounges on the Bilbao crossing. There is a choice of bars and restaurants: carvery and buffet-style dining, less formal International Food Courts, and more upmarket facilities such as Mayfair’s famous Langan’s Brasserie on the Bilbao route, where the highest quality food and wine are served at table. Onboard coffee shops serve a selection of light snacks and pastries as well as a wide range of hot and cold drinks, including Costa Coffee. Each ship has a resident band or duo to keep passengers entertained throughout the evening. The main lounge offers dancing, bingo and quizzes alongside live music. For a more laid back experience, there is a resident pianist, and there are also evenings devoted to live entertainment, with singers, dancers and children’s entertainers. Kids are well catered for with an onboard Kids Club, and everything from face painting to arts and crafts to mini-discos are on offer in the Junior Crew Club. The Club mascot is Pirate Pete. A video arcade with some of the latest and most popular action-filled games will also help keep them out of trouble. Back to P&O Ferries
