More About Speed Ferries

Routes The combination of the fastest ferry crossing of 50 minutes and a link road from the A16 motorway leading direct to the Port of Boulogne, gives SpeedFerries customers easy access to the entire French motorway system, making it a convenient gateway for trips between Britain and the Continent. SpeedFerries’ route from Dover to Boulogne is a cars-only service. Cars, minivans and smaller motor homes can be accommodated, as long as they fall within the overall limitations on height (2.9 m), width (2.0 m) and length (7.0 m), which are determined by configuration of the car deck and ramps and the tight sailing schedule. Caravans and coaches are not allowed. When booking a crossing, passengers are asked to select a vehicle type, which is determined by the overall size of the vehicle and the number of passengers travelling in it. Overloaded vehicles are not allowed on board. One of the main advantages of using the SpeedFerries service is that they operate a very simple fare structure with low cost return tickets available no matter how long the trip. Price is based on the rate at which capacity is sold. Basic Tickets are available at a very low cost for customers with set travel dates; Flex Tickets are available for customers who may need to change their ticket at a later stage; Super Vouchers incorporate unique offers for frequent travellers crossing the Channel several times a year, and offer full flexibility at a low, fixed price - the bigger the voucher purchased, the bigger the saving. There is priority check-in, separate lanes and priority loading for Premier Class and Super Voucher customers in both ports. Facilities SpeedOne has access from the car deck to the common passenger lounge and cafeteria situated on the first level passenger deck through a wheelchair friendly corridor. A wheelchair as well as personal assistance is available on request. All facilities, including restrooms, are accessible for wheelchair users. There is a small flight of stairs between the first and the second level passenger decks, where the coffee and wine bars and the Premier Class lounge are situated. Passengers travelling Premier Class are provided with extra services by the cabin crew in the first level passenger lounge. Back To Speed Ferries
