Routes The routes which the Steam Packet Company operate are: Isle of Man to Heysham/Birkenhead (on board the Ben-my-Chree, year-round service); Isle of Man to Liverpool (on board the Viking, year-round service); Isle of Man to Belfast/Dublin (on board the Snaefell, a seasonal service only). Facilities You will find shops, entertainment and a restaurant on board. You can travel from Liverpool or Heysham on the high speed sea-cat service. Alternatively enjoy a more leisurely cruise on the ferry. The high speed sea-cat service offers a cafeteria and on-board shop whilst the ferry features licensed bars, film shows, games room and lift. The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company flagship, ‘Ben My Chree’ undergoes a biennial overhaul and refit. Recently, in addition to her engine overhaul the work schedule - costing in excess of £1 million - included a refurbishment of the main passenger lounge, upgrading of the catering outlets and an extension and refurbishment of the popular Blue Riband lounge. Additionally, all 20 passenger cabins were refurbished and enhanced with a DVD facility. An upgrade to the Manannan Premium Lounge on the Steam Packet ferries offers the best in passenger comfort. Onboard the Viking, the Manannan Premium Lounge is located forward on the top deck of the craft, whilst on the Ben-my-Chree the Manannan Premium Lounge is situated on Deck 7 forward of the main seating cabin. This lounge offers excellent panoramic views as you travel in style. The Snaefell’s Manannan Premium Lounge is situated on the starboard side of the ship and accessed via stairs from the main seating cabin. The Manannin Premium Club service offers a variety of facilities. On the Viking, there is a mixture of forward facing seats and table seating for your convenience; the Ben-my-Chree offers a mixture of reclining seats and table seating; whilst the Snaefell offers all table seating. Service & facilities in the lounge area include service from a dedicated member of crew on all ships, and once on board, the crew will offer passengers complimentary refreshments, and there are complimentary non-alcoholic beverages served throughout your sailing. The customer service crew are happy to assist with any purchases passengers make from the Café or Bar outlets, and there is a complimentary selection of newspapers and magazines. All vessels have access to laptop and mobile phone charging points, and pillows and blankets are available on request. Children under the age of 8 years are not accepted in the Manannin Premium Lounge, and disabled passengers should note that the Viking Manannin Premium Club is unsuitable for passengers who are unable to leave their wheelchairs and for those unable to climb steep flights of stairs.
