Routes Stenaline’s operational area is divided into three zones: The Irish Sea Stena Line’s routes on the Irish Sea are Stranraer-Belfast, Holyhead-Dublin, Holyhead-Dun Laoghaire, Fishguard-Rosslare and Fleetwood-Larne. Routes on the Irish Sea include private travel and freight, with a high proportion of customers travelling several times per year. Stena Line is the largest ferry operator on the Irish Sea with over 3 million passengers travelling on their routes every year. The North Sea Within the North Sea business area, Stena Line operates the routes Hoek van Holland-Harwich, Hoek van Holland-Killingsholme and Rotterdam-Harwich. The North Sea routes are operated by RoPax vessels and a high-speed ferry, and provide the fastest direct ferry link between Northern Europe and Great Britain for freight as well as passengers travelling by car, train or bus. Scandinavia The routes included in Scandinavia are Göteborg-Frederikshavn, Varberg-Grenaa, Helsingborg-Helsingør, Göteborg-Kiel, Göteborg-Travemünde, Trelleborg-Travemünde, Trelleborg-Rostock, Trelleborg-Sassnitz, Karlskrona-Gdynia and Oslo-Frederikshavn. Stena Line started originally with passenger traffic between Göteborg and Denmark, and these routes still form the backbone of the business with more than 2 million passengers per year. Facilities Onboard Stena Line ferries you can relax and enjoy good food, and shop at a fine selection of retailers. Onboard facilities include a children’s play area, and during school holidays young children are treated to a performance by the onboard children’s entertainer, including a magic show, balloon sculpture and hand puppet show. For adults, Stingers disco bar is the perfect place to relax with a drink and watch a music video on the video wall. Maximes à la carte restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner, and is ideal for a three-course meal, whilst in the Globetrotter Buffet you can eat as much as you like for a set price. Vegetarian options are available. The Stena HSS has a range of fast food outlets including McDonald’s, New York Pizza and Rudi’s Diner. If you’re just after a quick cup of coffee, visit CupaCabana, where you can also get a range of sandwiches and pastries. There are 2 cinemas on board the Stena HSS, each showing a range of the latest films. You can also try out the latest video games in the fully equipped arcade. If you’re travelling on the High-speed Stena HSS, you can upgrade to the Stena Plus lounge. For an extra £7 per person each way you get the following benefits: Luxury seat in the Stena Plus Lounge, complimentary tea and coffee plus a choice of complimentary daily newspapers.
