Rosslare
Rosslare
Rosslare (Ros Láir in Irish, meaning “the middle peninsula”) is a village in County Wexford, Ireland. It has been a tourist resort for at least 100 years, and prides itself on being the sunniest spot in Ireland. Located 5 miles from Rosslare Europort and 10 miles from Wexford town, Rosslare Holiday Resort is situated along 5 miles of safe, sandy beach (E.U. Blue Flag Awarded).
For over 160 years, Rosslare Harbour has seen lifeboats stationed at both Rosslare Fort and Wexford and the crews have been presented with over 35 awards for gallantry. Today’s Severn class lifeboat covers the south east tip of Ireland.
