FAQ – Missed Ferry…

Q: What if I miss my ferry?

A: Ferry tickets are only valid for the dates and times specified at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to plan your journey in such a way that you arrive in good time. If you are late for your crossing for any reason whatsoever, it is sometimes possible to be switched onto a later crossing but this is entirely at the discretion of the port staff and additional charges may be levied.

Eurotunnel tends to be a little more lenient (as it was originally conceived as a ‘turn-up-and-go’ service) and they have some special ticket classes that are totally flexible.

In either case, if you know you are going to be late for your crossing then telephone forward to the ferry port and let them know.
